Cozy Hundehotell shall be staying in touch with you on request and sending you updates during your dog’s stay with us. The videos of your dog’s stay with us may be also available on our social media. Please let us know in your response if you do not wish for your dog to ever appear on our social media :

WHAT TO BRING

Please note that you are asked to bring your dog’s food and equipment with you. We usually ask for the:

  • food (please follow food and snacks guidance below*)
  • bed
  • bowls (food & water)
  • toys
  • snacks (please follow food and snacks guidance below*)

FOOD AND SNACKS POLICY

For health and safety reasons, and to look after the good health of all of the hotel animals we have now introduced a food policy for those of you if you wish to bring your dog’s own food:

Please note that Cozy Hundehotell only accepts food types such as:

  • dry dog food
  • canned food in sealed cans with a good expiry date
  • dried snacks in closed bags (originally sealed) with a valid expiry date

We do not accept any:

  • raw meat dog food in any form (fresh or frozen)
  • raw meat
  • meat cuts additions
  • snacks in the form forms of dried meat or animal parts ( e.g. dried skin, dried pig ears, dried horns, dried hoofs etc).

We will reject all of the above upon the dog’s arrival.

All the meat flavoured snacks will not be accepted unless they come in sealed, unopened packaging with a valid expiry date

If you wish us to use our food during the stay, please inform us at least 1 week in advance and the price addition will follow

YOUR DOG’S HEALTH

Your dog needs to be vaccinated with the following vaccine (had to have a yearly vaccination up to date):

DHPPi – for distemper, hepatitis, parvo, parainfluenza

The vaccination card must be presented on arrival, and the vaccine must not be older than 12 months.

Any changes in your Dog’s health must be reported to Cozy Hundehotell before arrival. Cozy Hundehotell has the right to reject accepting your dog for its stay if it has any form of symptoms which we may consider dangerous or contagious to our other guests.

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

Please note that the core pick-up and drop-off times are every day (Mon-Sun) between 18:00 and 21:00. Another time can be accepted but needs to be requested individually and will be agreed upon based on availability.

PAYMENT

Payment needs to be completed on the day of dropping off your dog. We only accept paid-in-advance stays. Please note that the prices listed in the pricelist apply per every day, and the VAT will be added on top of them at transaction times.

Please note that the agreed payment, taken on the first day of your dog’s stay, is non-refundable.

In case the owner changes their mind and picks up the dog earlier than planned, the payment for the full stay will not be refunded.

If the stay needs to be extended for any unforeseen circumstances, the extra payment will be agreed upon and charged on the first day of the extension of the stay to cover the rest of the agreed extension.

The Cozy Hundehotell reserves the right to not agree to extend the stay based on the no space available due to other bookings basis.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The cancellation fee is applicable from 24 hours before the arrival. If you do not cancel the stay of your dog at least 24 hours upfront of the first day of the stay, you will be charged 25% of the whole stay amount including VAT. Up to 24 hours before the stay the cancellation is free.

Please note that the Cozy Hundehotell will always look after your pet to the best of our abilities and with only the wellbeing of the dog in mind.

In case of any unforeseen circumstance of an accident involving your pet or in case of any sickness that the pet develops during the staying under Cozy Hundehotell’s care, we will not take any responsibility for change in the health of your dog or financial responsibility for the treatments. We will, however, seek immediate medical advice from the vet (the first choice will be the Høie & Vatne clinic in Sandnes, or any other closest available vet clinic if that one is closed or not available to see us), and get in touch with you straight away.

In case of any health incident of your pet during the stay under Cozy Hundehotell’s care, we will deliver them to be checked with the vet immediately and we will contact you at once. Please know that you, as the owner will be notified and will need to agree to any possible medical treatment cost before such treatment is decided and/or performed. The dog owner will take full financial responsibility for covering the veterinary bill, which will be issued in the dog owner’s name, and is not to blame Cozy Hundehotell for the circumstances.

The Cozy Hundehotell also reserves the right to cancel before your dog’s stay starts, which might be caused by any unforeseen circumstances or an illness.

We will not shorten your dog’s stay within the planned dates, once it has started, but we might inform you if the dog is not doing well here due to its character or preferences if that occurs. In that case, if the early pick-up is arranged following your decision, no refund will be given.
